This book is the perfect read for any occasion. I downloaded it prior going on a camping trip in california just to have something to read on my downtime. Man did it make for some good laughs around the campfire. The thing is, you have to keep in mind that all of the short passages in the book refers to REAL LIFE OCCURRENCES. Someone actually asked him that, or said that, or reacted that way.Having gone to a club or two in my life, I could say that some of it common sense. I mean really, who am I to expect to be let into a premier venue a long with 5 of my friends as soon as I show up to the line? I didn't just release a hot album and my new movie isn't number 1 in the country.
And now this is the cool part of the book I think, where Shaun lays out plain and simple the do's and don'ts. With a touch of humor of course.
Anyway, like I said, I started reading it on s camping trip and finished it while waiting on a flight at the airport. A great read that'll entertain you and from which you might learn a few things.

If you've ever lived in Miami or even gone out one night in Miami, this book is the book for you! I have never laughed so hard in my life! Shaun Gold has hit the mark yet again with this book. This book epitomizes life in Miami both in out of the nightlife scene. His book takes the frustrations one may experience in Miami and parodies them!!! Miami is one of the most beautiful place in the world, its a pity some of the people that populate it, but Shaun gives these people a hilarious spin and makes you to remember to laugh when one crosses your path!
Hahaha!!!! Is all I have to say after finishing this book. This should definitely be distributed to all Greek life in Miami because these truly are the rules to the road. I thought I had seen it all but after reading this I cannot believe the nonsense Shaun and any other promoters have to go through on a weekly basis. It.'s good for people to actually read this because many people grow up in small towns with no clubs and come to Miami clueless!! If you don't really know the nightlife or haven't experienced it, this is a funny way to learn the do's and don'ts.
(Warning doing this on your own leads to this) Always watch out for the overly friendly girl who approaches! We called her the bottle rats! She's fine she knows it and all she is looking for is the free drinks! (Never think your taking her home) she walks in for free and drinks for free! Shaun takes care of everything and insures not only do you get in but your money never goes to waste on women like that! Pure good times and everything you will ever need. Service at its best! Read this book to get incredible insights on the Miami nightlife!
A must-read for anyone looking to experience the Miami nightlife with class. His stories are hilarious and sometimes unbelievable! Don't take offense to what he says--he's just keeping it real.
But the overlying messages are more serious professionalism, etiquette, and human decency. That's why the last chapter was the best. This book will help you understand why Shaun is the master of the nightlife, and why he has been successful for so long. Had a laugh from cover to cover. Having moved to Miami just over two years ago, I couldn't help but notice the "crawlers of the night" and some of the absurd habits that came along with the bulk of them. This book does the tale perfectly, highlighting the exact feel of what it is like to have a night on the town in Miami. For any of you that know Shaun, you know he has countless of the stories and what makes them all better is the fact that those stories become a reality when you step foot in South Beach and open your eyes.
Great job on this one! Hopefully there will be more to come in the future as I know you have an never ending library of pro-tips!

So many will perceive work in "nightlife" as they see it in pop culture, but Mr. Gold provides insight outside the glamours portrayal of club life. Mr. Gold provides his readers with real, long term solutions to success in the night club and entertainment industry. I thoroughly enjoyed his first book, and Pro-Tip portrays the more humorous side one needs to be successful in a business. I wholeheartedly recommend this book along with his first title "Promoter Mind, Hustler Heart Empowering Yourself for Success in the Social Media Age" for anyone serious in making a sustainable career in the entertainment industry. In business, one must have a sense of humor along with great knowledge of his or her profession to captivate others and themselves towards successful goals. Mr. Gold has accomplished this and the insight that he shares can and will translate his success towards his readers.
